Blog Journal #9

In a flipped classroom, information is often delivered outside of a traditional classroom. This could mean homeschooling or online classes. While in the classroom, activities like homework and watching videos are done. Flipped classrooms also shift the focus of the classroom from the teacher to the learners. This can allow the teacher to be more personal and hands on with each student. 

Open educational resources are educational resources that are available online, for free, for anyone to use. They can include things like lesson plans and worksheets. It can also include things like journal articles and studies. The OER Commons is a website devoted to making access to open educational resources easy for everyone. It is a public digital library for educational resources! 

Before I did these two assignments, I had no idea how customizable Power Points were. I mostly associate them with boring lectures, so it's interesting to see how participatory they can be. I can't say I enjoyed making them, but I did learn from it. I think my second power point was better. I picked a better theme and had a more consistent layout.
